Privacy Notice

Brain Epitaph is a satire site. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens on it technically — it is not legal advice.
Cookies
The site sets exactly one non-essential cookie: Google Analytics, used to see roughly how many people visit and which stories get read. It is loaded only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Decline, or close the banner without choosing, no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set.
Your choice is stored in your browser only (not on our servers) and you can withdraw it at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer, which clears the stored choice and shows the banner again.
What we don’t do
No advertising, no ad-tech cookies, no third-party trackers beyond the analytics described above, no accounts, and no personal data collected through any form — the site doesn’t have one.
Content
Published issues are stored in a Firestore database and served by the site’s own backend. No reader data is stored alongside them.
